History The sixties was a time of both cultural and political revolution. It changed the way many people thought of society and moral values. The children of the post-World War II baby boom were moving into adulthood and shaping their opinions and ideas of cultural improvement along the way.
Yuvak Vikas Trust (YVT) is one of the leading youth development organization. It was founded by youth leaders of Gujarat on 18th December, 1968 at Ahmedabad (Registered under Bombay Public Charitable Trust Act). This was the time when world was witnessing youth unrest, the founders of YVT namely Shri Thakorbhai Desai, Shri Ramlalbhai Parikh, Shri Labhubhai Trivedi, Shri lndubhai Patel, Shri Dineshbhai Shah, Shri Chimanbhai Patel and Shri Kantibhai Bhatt were all youth leaders of their time.
The founders were most influential people eager to engage youth to reduce youth unrest by directing youth energy in a creative and constructive way and to make the youth believe firmly in Indian democracy and constitution. Also build their capacity and creating suitable platform for youth to contribute to the development of the country.
At present the trust is managed by the Board of Trustees consisting of Mandaben Parikh (Managing Trustee), Mansukhbhai Joshi, Sureshbhai Zumkhavala, Mayankbhai Upadhayay (Director) and Jaiben Kakani.
